Lee Davey Caravans was established way back in 1948 by Mr Lionel Edward Davey. A squadron leader in the RAF during the Second World War, ‘Lee’ was educated at Kings School Rochester and brought up on a diet of cars, motorbikes and various other engines, as his father owned a number of local garages. ‘L E’ as he was affectionately known retired in 1986 and the company was bought by local businessman Rodney Tolhurst. It was then ran very efficiently by John Bloodworth for the next 26 years, epitomising the devotion and passion shown by the long standing staff. This is a quality that remains in the company to date, with many of our staff counting their tenure in decades! In 2013 the management of the business was passed to Patrick Willoughby, a salesman with the company since 1985. His commitment to both future and current customers is clearly evident in the renovated leisure shop, improved showroom and recent workshop expansion.
We are situated in the centre of Kent near the county town of Maidstone, easily accessible from the main A20 and just a few minutes away from Junction 8 of the M20. Over the years the company has grown its reputation in the caravanning community as a reliable business with quality caravans, as well as offering many other products that enhance the freedom owning a caravan can bring. We have a full and extensive range of new Adria, Bailey and Coachman caravans but also buy many other makes both in part exchange and for cash, providing an excellent choice of quality pre-owned vehicles.
